Hi! I have a question about my CZ2011P portable infrared heater. Got it last night and already love it! But I'm puzzled about why the green power light on the front control panel blinks rhythmically on and off. Seems like all the other power indicators I've seen on devices come on solid and stay on. The amber master power rocker switch on the back is solidly lit. Customer service doesn't have an answer for this situation. Any ideas, anyone? Thanks.

Hi Dian,

I suggest you visit Amazon.com to buy Comfort Zone heater. You'll find plenty of models there and the prices are hard to beat. And when you take into account that you don't have to move a finger and Amazon will deliver them to your home - it's a great deal! So, get to their site and see what they have to offer. There are many other solutions when it comes to heating devices and Internet shopping, but my first choice is usually Amazon, this is why I recommend them to you.

Good luck!

Hi Doug,

Thanks for the input. Yeah, the heaters that deliver real power usually have up to 2000 watt so one should be aware of that and take care of the power supply properly. I hope your Comfort Zone heaters will serve you well, I personally have good experience with them and people who bought them are quite satisfied.

I have 2 1500 watt Comfort Zone heaters (1 upstairs ans one down. I love them. Been runnin em 3+ years now. I live in central Utah at the base of the mountains.

About the cord being a bit warm- they do draw a lot of power and are suppose to be on their own 15 amp circuit breaker (a dedicated circuit). I would recommend making sure you have good wiring to the plug and a good receptacle and all connections at the breaker box and receptacle tight.

We have used a Comfort Zone for two winters. We live in northern Wisconsin and get about 6 1/2 months of heating weather. We do have a gas furnace but the infra red keeps the furnace from kicking in except maybe once or twice a day, briefly. Our home is an open floor plan and we have been really pleased with our heater. We plan to purchase another, smaller unit, for our travel trailer this year.

HAVE BEEN USING INFARED FOR 3 WINTERS IN THE NORTHEAST. WE HAVE FORCED HOT AIR FOR PRIMARY HEATING AND IT IS GAS FIRED. A GOOD HEAT BUT VERY DIRTY. PLUS SINUS PROBLEMS HAVE CEASED SINCE WE HAVE USED INFARED. THESE UNITS DO NOT BURN THE AIR AND ARE VERY EFFICIENT.THE COMFORT ZONE 1500 WILL HEAT FOR AROUND A DOLLAR A DAY ON HIGH CONSTANTLY. THE UNIT IS VERY QUIET AND THE THERMOSTAT IS ACCURATE TO PLUS OR MINUS 1 DEGREE,THIS RIVALS EXPENSIVE PROGRAMABLE WALL UNITS. THE CORD ON BOTH OUR UNITS DOES NOT GET HOT NEAR THE PLUG OR ANYWHERE ON THE CORD. I WOULD HAVE THIS CHECKED PRIOR TO FURTHER OPERATION OF THE UNIT.

I bought a Comfort Zone (CZ1500WC) infa-red utility heater. I've been using it for the last few months without any problems. My friend also has one, and alerted me to the cord, which gets VERY hot near the plug. Neither of us has the paperwork that accompanied the heaters and I can't find anything on line about it. Can you tell me if this is normal, or if there are any recalls on this model?
